Description
Realistic Weapon Play changes Grand Theft Auto's arcade-style gameplay to a more grounded experience. Gun fights are far more intense and rewarding. This mod heavily changes the difficulty of the game so beware of that.
Important
Do not install this mod with OpenIV in edit mode! It will most likely corrupt your files. If you need immediate help or would like to report bugs make sure to join my discord as I respond the fastest there.
General Changes
-Increased damage depending on caliber
-Balanced damage for the player
-Increased FOV for all weapons
-Realistic muzzle fx for all weapons
-Removed tracers
-Realistic range depending on gun and caliber
-Realistic weapon displacement (shake)
-Realistic recoil depending on caliber and other factors
-Increased environmental flash
-Removed/decreased bullet force
-Realistic bullet speed depending on caliber

3.2:Long overdue changes: Muzzle FX changes, balanced damage for the player, polished recoil, new first person weapon placements, accurate hud stats (WIP only for "base" weapons), reworked my ammo system, redone bullet force (for euphoria not noticeable), fixed bugs.
3.3: Snipers are finally fixed (sorry for the long wait), Recoil is totally reworked and weapons feel more powerful, Increased damage of NPC weapons towards the player for a more balanced experience, Fixed most of the weapon positions (3.4 will complete this), Added "Alternate Impact Effects" to the optionals (More info in Read Me).

can you fix the carbine rifle? since I have this sound mod and when I install your mod, the rifle only shoots a single bullet and not automatically the sound mod is this. it's compatible ? https://www.gta5-mods.com/weapons/realistic-weapons-sounds
@springtrapxd If you want to remove Semi-Auto Carbine Rifle, open weapons.meta in edit mode, Search up WEAPON_CARBINE, scroll down to WeaponFlags, scroll over to the very right side, then delete OnlyFireOneShotPerTriggerPress.

Hi, the mod greately changes the gunfights expererience but there's no installation instructions to install optionals things we can add (materials.dat and weaponsfx.dat)
would there be update for service carbine and tac rifle soon?

Does the mod affect ammo pickup? currently picking up the gun and any new gun but not the ammo when I walk over another one
I installed this mod and the police just get out of the car and stand there. I also want the Muzzle Core Effects mod along with this but they seem to conflict with each other? Is there a specific order we need to install the mods in?
Also, please update to include the weapons from the latest update - service rifle and precision rifle.
This is the only supported weapon mod (outdated by now) yet it's actually terrible for many reasons including:
1. shotgun minigun when in stance mod
2.one shot carbine rifle
3.never ending barell smoke wtf even
4.special rifle has same superfast reload
5.all pickups are 0/0
6.new weapons also missing bullets
7.pure automatic pistols so there is no reason to actually has the auto pistol at all
@vylizanimamrdi Alright I’ll fix the pickups n stuff and make the pistols more balanced. Some update must've broken the pickups. Carbine will be optional as well.
