Dynamic Vehicle First Person
A custom first person vehicle camera script, with inertia effects, dynamic horizon lock, depth of field effects and a lot of customizability.
Originally made within Manual Transmission as a fix for locked camera with synced wheel animations, but it got too big, so I extracted it into a standalone script.
Settings and demo lap on the Nordschleife in Wanted188's GTR R32
Note: The steering animations and the player body not jerking forwards on braking is part of Manual Transmission's steering improvements.
Requirements
Installation
Copy DynamicVehicleFirstPerson.asi, DismembermentASI.asi and the DynamicVehicleFirstPerson folder to the GTA V folder.
Alternatively, you may put the DynamicVehicleFirstPerson folder in %localappdata%\ikt\ if the GTA V folder is not writeable for the script.
Usage
Use cheat 'dfpv' (without quotes) to open the menu. (Open the cheat console using the tilde (~) key, which is left to your 1 key, under the Escape key)
All camera settings are adjusted within the menu, with descriptions for what each option does.
The first person camera automatically activates when the camera is switched to first person view.
Refer to the included README.txt for more information, and how to configure the various configuration and camera possibilities.

Why do I see a body when I brake? It’s not visible in your video, but I see the character’s body when I press the brake. It's annoying! and your mod is very cool!
how i can turn off the effect zoom in when you're driving at max speed?
how toRESET all settings like new bro?
@IKT
@olegator24
Manual Transmission has the custom steering animation thing, which also makes the player character not react to physics. I use it with Manual Transmission with that feature.
@enzity: There should be no zoom in effect? Or you mean Depth of Field? Look for a DoF/Depth of Field option and turn it off.
@Mauluskus
The settings are stored in %localappdata%\ikt\DynamicVehicleFirstPerson. You can remove things there.
@ikt thx
W mod but can someone help me? To make a new config you have to create a name. I do it and then it ask me to press 1 or 2 but the problem is i dont have a numlock. Can someone help me how to change the keybinds please??
Great mod
Love this mod, a great alternative to Manual Transmission. One question, though. Would it be possible for this mod to have the steering wheel turn more than 45 degrees left and right, like how it did in Manual Transmission? Also, not sure if its a known bug or known but unfixable, the cinematic camera refuses to activate when in first person with this on. It also bugs out with the News Helicopter script I have but that is a mod so I excuse it.
@Indoraptor
The wheel turn stuff is part of Manual Transmission, so you'll need to use that.
For the cinematic camera, it's indeed blocked while the custom camera is active: https://github.com/ikt32/GTAVDynamicVehicleFirstPerson/blob/master/DynamicVehicleFirstPerson/FPVScript.cpp#L164
Not sure why I disabled it in the first place, but it probably had a reason. Probably that the camera handle gets invalidated or something.
You can recompile it with the line removed to see what happens.
Darn. Appears having the enhanced steering, as MT puts it, on to enable the extra steering wheel rotation, breaks completely and you cannot turn the wheel at all in first person. So that's a bummer since the third person animations from this mod work, but the incorrect steering wheel rotation is a bummer. Such a shame, but I'll live with it.
@ikt hey bro will this mod work on the latest GTA 5 version 1.0.3258?
@ikt Will appear in this mod feature to disable/enable head in FPV, like it was in original MT?
@LyublyuDetei
Yes, that's still in.
it doesn't work for me anymore
@ikt @ikt on C or D ?
i install the game in D
you say once ago: "@Mauluskus
The settings are stored in %localappdata%\ikt\DynamicVehicleFirstPerson. You can remove things there."
Brother, my English isn't that good, please can you tell me what setting I have to make so that the seat basically pushes me backwards when I accelerate.
@ikt
@Mauluskus
Camera settings -> Camera inertia options -> Longitudinal
Here you can find the options to adjust how and how much the camera responds to acceleration and braking.
@ikt thx
the mod doesnt work anymore with the newest patch
The mod still works, Im using it right now. Deciding whether to replace Extended Camera Settings with this mod or not. I cant seem to get different profiles for different cars. I made 2 different ones, one for car, one for trucks, but it doesnt switch between cars automatically.
