Protection missions are VERY glitchy. Companion will randomly turn invisible after reaching an objective, you will fall through the ground when reaching destination 99% of the time, objectives will fail to complete, and it is seemingly impossible to rough up those who fail to pay without killing them. Beyond that, they're just rather basic fetch quests that aren't very fun.
Other than that and companions being unnecessarily aggressive to the point that they can get themselves killed for no good reason, thus failing the mission, it's a pretty good mod. Would be willing to give a higher rating if said protection missions could be disabled from an INI file, or if you could see what the mission is prior to taking it, but it doesn't seem like you can do either.
Love this mod, as it really adds tension to the gun fights and car chases.
One thing I would suggest is the addition of an additional condition of some sort for beef to be triggered, such as a gang member having to witness and alert the rest of the gang, either by phone call or being left alive once the player has fled, in order for it to trigger, as this could allow for both more a stealth-based, frenetic, and even tactical gameplay loop when combined with other mods.
Is there any way to set this up so that it doesn't detect nor initialize specific controllers? I'm using an Xbox One racing wheel mapped to vJoy since it's not natively supported by Windows, but since it's detected as an Xbox Controller even though it's not correctly recognized nor configured as one by the system I cannot start the game with this mod enabled, as it just freezes at the loading screen.
The missions themselves are handled so well that's it's genuinely shocking that the way you get and accept them is so incredibly annoying. Every other mod author makes it so that you just have to call a contact in your phone to enter the same sorts of mod-relevant menus, so I don't know why you couldn't do the same. As it stands this mod makes your phone incredibly cumbersome and tedious to use, to the point that unless you only want to do these sorts of missions exclusively there is no good reason to have this mod installed. Very disappointing.
Seems like this this mod doesn't work with Pickups sadly
Can someone please just upload an image showing the map with the blips for both the dealers and vans and paste it in the comments here? I've tried everything, up to and including a fresh install with only the prerequisites added, and the map still does not display any icons.
This has made the mod basically unplayable, as I have no idea where to go to even begin dealing. I'm fine with having to use a reference image rather than the in-game map if I really need to, but the uploader has neither uploaded one, nor has responded to almost any of the near dozens of others reporting this same issue.
Giving half a star until this can be resolved. Will update to a 5 star if it is.
