Troubleshooting
- ALWAYS include the following (use pastebin or something similar to post the files):
- ManualTransmission/Gears.log
- ManualTransmission/settings_general.ini
- ManualTransmission/settings_wheel.ini
- What kind of inputs (wheel/controller/keyboard) you're using
- What you already tried to do

Known bugs and problems
- Gears.asi doesn't load (in asiloader.log, or indicated otherwise)
- Make sure you're using the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.
- Make sure you're using the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.
- Wheel force feedback is too responsive or missing
- Install one of the handling mods referred to above
- Check "Anti-dead force" in force feedback menu: Reduce when too responsive, increase when not responsive enough
- Use a LUT and dial down forces.
- Logitech G920 (NOT G29) crashing (Known issue)
- At this moment cause is unknown. Try:
- Remove ScriptHookVDotNet, or
- Use RagePluginHook to launch, or
- Remove/Downgrade/Upgrade G-Hub, or
- Buy another wheel
- Wheel is not detected or doesn't work properly
- Check if your drivers are up to date and the wheel works for other games
- Check if some other program isn't using your wheel (x360ce, etc)
- Check if the wheel is detected in Gears.log (in the ManualTransmission folder)
- If using Steam: Fix: Steam Big Picture > Settings > Controller Settings > Uncheck Generic Gamepad Configuration Support (Found by Kaerali)
- If after the Steam fix, it does show in the log file, but registering an input is still not effective, restart Steam and/or your computer
- Try another USB port!
- Even without "Clutch & throttle start" enabled, pressing throttle starts the engine
- Caused by game version v1.0.2545.0 and newer.
- As of release 5.5.0, no workaround exists yet.
- Consider downgrading to v1.0.2372.2 or older.

@Quincey1399 https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/better-vehicle-first-person
I think this is a mod you can adjust fov with.
@ikt.. awEsome mod 😎😎👌.. got a question about this one.. so i was testing all my addon vehicles then randomly tested a quad bike that I recently had the handling modified (Nagasaki Blazer). I tried to perform a wheelie but was unsuccessful at all attempts.. My guess is its because the vehicle is classified as an off-road not a bike and with Manual Transmission mod active, its impossible to wheelie on a quad bike..
Unless.. there is a feature on mod that could fix the issue...?
@Toxicslurb @Quincey1399 just install 5.5.1 of this mod (downgrade) thats what i have done lol why go find other options when downgrading is easy
@Katecreme I tried but I did it again it worked thanks
Why with this mod, the npc cars are more faster than me?
without the camera settings...ive rolled back to the previous version. One of my favourite features and you removed it! Im sure theres a good reason for it but...
Can you make a 5.4.2 version suitable for 2802?
@Quincey1399 https://github.com/CamxxCore/ExtendedCameraSettings/releases try this under camera setings in pause increase first person field of view.lmk if it works
@akatek https://github.com/CamxxCore/ExtendedCameraSettings/releases
should we remove DismembermentASI from gta 5 main folder ?
@notDONEyet
It doesn't do anything if no other script is using it.
For some reason Gears.asi is causing Scripthookv errors and I can't find out whats causing this
@mrwhite27 same
VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE NEW SEPARATE CAMERA MOD!!! I thought this mod was going to be different and FIXED from the same STUPID error that was in the last camera mod within manual transmission but NOPE ITS NOT! Every time i try to change down a gear on my steering wheel the Camera STILL causes the driver to aim and shoot out the front window! So over this stupid mod! I have tried to contact the creator previously but no response. The one feature i really need, Horizon lock and i cant use it because of this stupid error that wrecks the use of my down shift paddle on the steering wheel :( Was so looking forward to this mod too so im really disappointed!
@Renegade86
First of all - consider how your feedback looks, if it was directed to _you_. Do you think that'd increase the chances of it being taken seriously? Just read it back, slowly. It just looks like a hysterical rant.
Now the issue - you're using a steering wheel which GTA V picks up as gamepad, and as such the controls are processed by the game as it would a controller. Which means certain actions are hard-bound to certain actions, like aiming and firing.
This is outside of what Manual Transmission can do - it doesn't override gamepad input. If your wheel pretends to be a controller, then that's just that, nothing the script can do to cancel it.
Finally, this doesn't have anything to do with the first person camera. I've as such removed the comment there. Don't comment off-topic, and especially don't rate-bomb an author because something isn't up to (some vague, non-disclosed) spec.
If you'd be doing this to any other developer, you would've been banned already for harassment, so take this as your final warning on abusive communication.
@Toxicslurb you don't need that. There are options to customize sitting position and fov.
The author, please tell me when I'm driving on a manual transmission, the transmission crashes to N, is this a bug or can it be configured (if so, how?). Another moment, while driving with the gas pedal pressed, the rpm drops, or before the cutoff, what to do how to set it up? It used to be all right, but in the last 4 days such a story
Hey~Brother, after I used this MOD, I found that the steering angle of the rear wheel of my S500W223 MOD has become the same as that of the front wheel, and only the maximum value can be displayed. Can you check the program?
@Cag147 I got the dfpv mod by ikt
Can you make a 5.4.2 version suitable for 2802? please
