Description
This modification enhances keyboard and mouse driving in Grand Theft Auto V, by smoothing out throttle, brake and steering, providing a cruise control feature with auto-follow, and other miscellaneous improvements such as engine control, fueling, etc. Aggressive driving is still possible, either by double tapping W/S, or enabling race mode (detailed user guide included in download).
Important
This mod is known to be incompatible with ikt's Manual Transmission, and Custom Gear Ratios. It may also be incompatible with other similar driving mods.

Installation
1. Ensure you have the following installed:

4. Unpack the archive that was downloaded into the Scripts folder (SmoothDrivingV.dll and the SmoothDrivingV folder should be alongside one-another inside the Scripts folder).

I searched the exe for b2944 (the version of June 2023), and this script does not seem to function because memory pattern/signatures for throttle and brake patch do not detect in b2944. https://github.com/LieutenantDan1/SmoothDrivingV/blob/d1cdb711b9890aaa8c2f59f48a83a5d2f91ca143/SmoothDrivingV/Main.cs#L71-L80
If someone wants to update this script, you may want to seek help from those who's good at reverse engineering, such as alexguirre. I'm concerned because HKH191 may try to update this script, who doesn't look like he's good at reverse engineering to me. @kagikn I suggested HKH191 to take a look at this mod cuz he seems to be pretty experienced and he was kind enough to do so. Since Lieutenant Dan isn't around, that's what we got for now. This mod is too damn good to be "broken".

The mod finally broke on the latest version b2944. If you suddenly need this mod, I recommend that you do as I did, just lower the version of the game to b2802. On the latest version does not work smooth throttle and brake, otherwise everything works. The game also crashes every time you have reverse gear on and press the gas button, just hold Space first and then the gas button to shift gears.
This is still a must-have modification that I've been using constantly for a long time. I really hope the developer comes back and releases an update for it!
@luxurious lol no .. For 2944 Orig - 1.06 works +- fine . ( Yes without smooth throttle etc , but wheels & gears works )
1.07 - only for past update like 2845 .
when I enter GTA 5, the mod works, and when I drive backwards, the mod works, and when I drive forward, the mod disappears and does not work..... I hope you want it to work..... I hope you respond quickly

I guess after 2944 it's either latest NVE or Smooth driving, can't have both
Fkn nice Mod, it works well, still not finished, but its very good for its value. My Game crashes after about 5 to ten minutes randomly, even at places where are no bycicles are available, i dont know if i can send you some report or anything to help you with the solution, but without your mod there is a big lack in qualitiy of driving. Im paitiently waiting for an update and I would be glad if i could help you with something.
