"Nothing is more American than your own portable Flamethrower. Useful for a special kind of roasting for when you run out of arguments."
This is a Flamethrower. Kinda like the one on Apocalypse Cerberus, but you can carry it on foot.
---FEATURES---
-It makes things lit.
-Can double as a torch at night.
-All languages supported because I'm not lazy to the point I can't run a few strings through Yandex or Google Translate.
-It has a HUD icon. Natively. Without using external scripts. The only other mod to do that is a Fire Extinguisher.... interesting contrast, now that I think of it.
-It does not break blimp explosions.
---INSTALLATION---
Drop the "spflamethrower" folder into dlcpacks and add the line "dlcpacks:\spflamethrower\" to dlclist.xml in update.rpf/common/data. HUD files go into "update.rpf\x64\patch\data\cdimages\scaleform_generic.rpf".
---THINGS TO NOTE---
-Latest game version (1.0.1868.0) is required for the mod to work properly. Not my problem if you don't have it.
-Also I tested the DLC pack (on a clean install). Crashes are unlikely, unless you're using like a million other mods.
-Spawn name: weapon_flamethrower

Easily the best flamethrower out there. The only flaws I can find is the HUD kinda messed up during radio wheel because I assume its due R* introduced media player on the recent update so your HUD.gfx or YFT is kinda outdated. I would love it would get fix

Your installation instructions are wrong. You said the following....
HUD files go into "update.rpf\x64\patch\data\cdimages\scaleform_generic.rpf"
This is incorrect. They go to "mods\update\update.rpf\x64\data\cdimages\scaleform_generic.rpf"
You've done this on your radio mods and the community hud.gfx mod. I see so many people complaining things don't work and it's because you completely put the wrong paths in all of your installation instructions. I got all the radio mods working and the community hud.gfx working but only because I searched in open iv for the files.
Also this mod does not work. I put everything where they should go, launched the game, used simple trainer to give all weapons, and it's simply not there.
@WildBrick142 amazing mod, just wondering how you made the flamethrower have it's own weapon icon at one point. im pretty sure the new updates have overwritten where your HUD gfx goes. The weapon works perfectly in game, still. plus; maybe its possible to to add a hud element via the mod itself and not have to dig into vanilla files
@toobalooboolama It's not incorrect. Well, wasn't for the last 6 years. In the most recent update Rockstar decided to change the file path for whatever reason. This was written and released at a time when that was the correct path, and I haven't gotten around to updating the descriptions yet ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@Thighmangler It involved lots of trial and error. As for the HUD being outdated, you can get an updated version here: https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/community-hud-gfx-for-add-on-radio-stations it includes the Flamethrower icon as well some extras.

If this crashes for you, just change all the forward slashes in the dlclist.xml file into backwards slashes. Example: \spflamethower\
I can't find scaleform_generic.rpf in openIV. What should I do

I want to add your flamethrower to my GTA V, but if i replace "hud.gfx" file to your file, i will probably get some problems because in my "hud.gfx" file haves a littlebit more info, than in your file, so thats why i asking you, whats the lines from your hud.gfx file i need to copy to my "hud.gfx" file with the help some text editor app, to get flamethrower? I hope you understand me. Thanks🙂
