great stuff! Very useful.
@Yard1
I've played with a high wanted level for about an hour and haven't noticed any bugs besides the fact that Juggernauts are gone.
@Yard1 by the way, sorry for the very naive question, but:
will the gameconfig.xml that you provided today be working with _future_ Rockstar updates? Or is it only meant for this current patch version?
Okay, false alert: I played for about 15 minutes again and no crashes while changing wanted level so far.
I'm not sure if it stays this way, but for now I can play at least.
Personally, for me the game crashes whenever I use the trainer to set my wanted level to zero. Up to that point, RDE works.
An update needed :(
it's easy to check if RDE works by shooting someone in the head with a silenced weapon. In vanilla, you'd be getting a single star no matter what.
@eshenk can you PLEASE answer two simple questions:
- are you playing the game with Steam set to be in offline mode?
- are you using the -scOfflineOnly launch argument?
well, it's not working so there has to be something else.
Are you using the -scOffline argument when starting the game? Is your Steam in offline mode? Just random guesses, I really have no idea why it's not working.
@eshenk check this guide out http://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/52764-how-to-avoid-rockstar-updates/
It says basically the same as you do, EXCEPT it also mentions one more file: the GTAVLauncher.exe
Can you upload it as well please?
@eshenk I did that and the game crashes when loading into the story mode. Are you playing with Steam in offline mode? There MUST be something else that you forgot, otherwise there wouldn't be people who aren't getting this to work.
