  • Thanks for the reports @JoyLucien and @DJEluminia they pushed me to do a full performance audit.

    In v1.1, I removed a chunk of redundant per-frame work. The mod was repeatedly requesting vehicle names/models multiple times per frame; that’s now properly cached. I also eliminated a source of garbage-collection stutter. Overall, this should reduce load, especially on lower-end CPUs.

    Full transparency: on my test system the mod was already running pretty light, so I wasn’t able to reproduce the single-digit FPS drops some of you saw. Because of that, I can’t guarantee 100% that v1.1 will fix it in every case but it should help significantly.

  • @DJEluminia currently investigating. I have a pretty beefy rig so i dont notice much of a drop but it is there. I am running diagnostics to see what i can limit and speed up. @JoyLucien also mentioned this.

  • @aldian0 on a fresh install (downloaded directly from rockstars launcher/server) i was able to install the asi loader via openIV, install ScriptHookV, and i had to install the nightly version of ScriptHookDotNet. I then installed the DLC, made sure it was enabled in the dlclist.xml, made a "scripts" folder, installed my scripts and ran it. The windows will have a slight white reflection if it works before going to the shop. This mod modifies memory values in the game to achieve the colors so if your not running the latest build or close to the latest it can break the memory read pointers. I'm currently trying to make them more robust to work in any version but it is very tricky. if your are running the latest and you installed everything correctly and its still wrong... its a mod conflict and i cant tell you which one. i hope this helps

  • @JoyLucien i will take another deep dive into this today along with some DLC problems that seem to be happening. Ill let you know what i find and any optimizations that i make.

  • @aldian0 I will investigate this, the texture i use in the ytd can be used to replace in the other vehshare.ytd's for the time being as a temp fix.

  • @JoyLucien the only thing that runs every few seconds is the license plate check to apply ELSC equipped parts. I will do some more investigating to see if something else is running but with all of my testing nothing should be hogging your frames from my stuff.

  • @aldian0 did you install the DLC for legacy? The DLC is supposed to overwrite the glass texture without having to modify other game files. Make sure the DLC (elsc) is set to load in the dlclist.xml

  • Small update... i fixed the Legacy elsc dlc. it should be packed correctly now. Let me know of any issues you have and ill address them ASAP

  • I want to clarify that this is my first script mod and its very extensive. I wanted it to feel as vanilla as possible with some very nice QOL features. This doesnt modify any of the games existing files and is all self contained within the scripts folder and a single DLC (DLC is strictly for overwriting the glass windows textures in vehshare with my modified version to allow for vibrant custom colors). Please let me know what issues you run into before giving it a bad rating so i can fix it and get it uploaded ASAP for you.
