@Exotixq
Hard to tell if I can't look for errors myself, sorry. Maybe you have mods that have conflicts with the mod here or have set something wrong. Maybe read the description and comments again and see if you missed something.
@drewcification
My exported videos had black picture although picture and sound was exported, after I installed "HEVC Video Extensions" the video was visible. The video player issue was related to the fact that H265 videos in windows player were very jerky for me, but not in vlc-player.
This has nothing to do with the mod or the video itself, just wanted to help people who might have the same problem.
If you have set everything correctly as stated in the description (no fullscreen, frame scaling=off etc...) I have no idea why you are only exporting sound.
@bountyboy
(Only for single player, I have not tested FiveM)
Installation:
1.
- Make sure you have installed the following prerequisites!
# ScriptHookV
# Latest version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 - 2022 Redistributable
2.
Install Voukoder 13.3
- Go to the description of the mod and click on the link to the Voukoder website
(Green highlighted "13.3." in the requirements section)
- Click on "Download" for the following version and install it:
App Version Expires Release date
Voukoder 13.3 - 10/29/2023
3.
- Download the mod and copy all files "EVE" folder and "ExtendedVideoExport.asi" into your GTA V root directory
4.
- Go to the "EVE" folder and open "ExtendedVideoExport.ini"
- Determine the path where your videos should be saved,
by writing your path after "output_folder ="
- Determine the FPS your videos should have,
by changing the number after "fps ="
- You can also set the motion blur here, but I recommend
not to change anything until you know that the mod works
- Save the file!
# Example of the file:
enable_mod = true
auto_reload_config = true
output_folder = C:\Users\USER\Videos
log_level = error
[EXPORT]
fps = 60
motion_blur_samples = 0
motion_blur_strength = 0.5
export_openexr = false
5.
- Go to the "EVE" folder and open "EncoderConfig.exe" and wait until the Voukoder window opens
(If the window does not open after a short wait, restart your PC and try again while GTA V is closed)
- When the window has opened you can adjust everything here
You can try different codecs and see what works best for you
- My knowledge of codecs is limited but I'll try to give you some settings
that should work.
- Under "Video" select the codec "HEVC (NVIDIA NVENC)", click on "Good quality (recommended)" and then on "Apply"
(As far as I know, you need an NVIDIA graphics card for this if this encoder does not work, try "HEVC (x265)" or "H.264 (x264)")
- Under "Audio" select the codec "AAC (FFmpeg)" and click on apply
- Under "Output" select the container "MPEG-4(.mp4)" and click on ok
6.
- Done! If you now export a video in rockstar editor, it should be in the folder you specified
7.
# Important notes! #
- Your game MUST NOT run in fullscreen, the mod only works if you play in borderless or windowed mode!
(In the advanced settings in the game, the render resolution must be the same as the normal resolution)
- You don't have to close GTA V to change the settings
- For people where the exported video is black and only has sound:
I assume you exported with the HEVC (NVIDIA NVENC) or the HEVC (x265) codec,
it is possible that you are missing the codec in Windwows...
You can for example get "HEVC Video Extensions" in the microsoft store but I think it costs 1€ or so
Otherwise google how to install the H265 codec or
use another codec for example x264, AV1 and so on...
I think premiere pro also supports it by default if you have it pull it in and see if you have picture
(It may well be that the video is jerky in the standard windows player...
I personally bought the codec in the store at some point and used VLC media player and it works fine for me)
Great!
The new version is so much more stable and faster than the old one!
With the voukoder it's much more comfortable to adjust everything and the fact that motion blur is now running through the GPU makes my videos render even faster with motion blur than before without!
Thanks for the work, I really appreciate the update!
Thank you for this awesome car!
Nice work!
