@Damoyrob Dude, I wish everyone knew what I'm about to tell you, because I see these questions all the time. Google "JoyToKey". It's a program that lets you macro any keyboard key to any gamepad. You can make most mods controller compatible with it. I set it so I can grab peds with DPadLeft and throw them with DPadRight. It's fairly easy to use, you will figure it out in less than 10 min. You can press buttons on your controller and they will highlight on screen in yellow so you know which button to change. If you still can't figure it out from there try harder.
Awesome mod, I'm not sure if it's the way I've installed it or just the way the mod is, but some rushing wind sound effects when flying like the Nice Fly mod would be nice and immersive.

how do I disable the heat haze?

@stoorm usually Left Shift. Or if you use an x-box controller hold forwards then press A+X at the same time to fly.
