I Set drs_radio_station_index = 19, and in the game setting/Audio menu I set radio station to self Radio
but still the default station in all cars is 1. Los Santos Rock Radio

@HyperSlam could u send me the .asi file? I am not that much into modding and stuff, and i cant get LUA to work. It tells me about an .dll file missing which i just installed again, so i guess the easiest way for me would be if i got the .asi file.

No update in the works so that we can set the default radio to OFF?

I changed the line to "drs_radio_station_index = 18" (for Self Radio) and it doesn't work. Yes, I have GTALua installed.

Nvm, it works. I forgot to update GTA Lua.

@Ceano I know, I want NO RADIO, after hearing the stations all game I am sick of it.

Had an idea, why not for now set it the default to self radio and put in a blank mp3, there, no more radio.

You said you were rewriting the mod 19 days ago. Still no .asi mod with the radio off working.

@Pedge @PapiDimmi @Vogelnator since he's making his own asi I'm not releasing mine. However, here is a LUA version with the no radio fix: http://pastebin.com/tL2iG3pT. ( for some reason the radio on version is not working the first time you enter a vehicle after loading the game, just re-enter the vehicle and it should work fine)

Uhm, it kinda doesn't work for me... Neither one of the index numbers will be set as default.
Did I miss something?

I've got it working, but is there any way of getting the radio station to 'stick' to the one you want when you load up your save? Seems to only work if you exit a vehicle and then get back in/on.

@sakratt dude, i set my default radio to selfradio. after couple of hours playing, i deleted .lua so that i can play other radio. but everytime i started the game, the game forced to choose selfradio. i tried remove all mp3 from usermusic but now it stuck on non stop pop fm. I saw the radio in the car (First person mode) still bugging and keep changing from self to non stop fm. help me please. or anyone who know how to solve this. please help.

is there an ini or xml for this coz the same thing that has happened to AmirD7 has happened to me too.... didn't work until i ironically added my own music... is there a way to change options or anything that anyone knows of or how to reset the default coz otherwise it is not handy @ all if you want to change to a different station another time when u play.... if anyone knows a way yell out thanks

If you're planning on downloading and using this mod as of 2018 and want to use "Self Radio" as your default radio station be aware that another station was added to the game. You're gonna have to make some changes in the "default-radio-station.lua" file that comes with this mod because this mod was uploaded back in April 29, 2015 and the file doesn't include that new radio station that was implemented in the game recently. Change "Self Radio" to a 19th entry because another somewhat stupid station, the "Blonded Los Santos 97.8 FM" was added to the game and now sits on the 18th slot (clockwise, "No Radio" not included, "No Radio" doesn't count in position, NULL), "Self Radio" used to sit at the 18th position but not anymore when it comes to this mod. This is what you gotta do: Type: "Blonded Los Santos 97.8 FM" to slot #18 and move "Self Radio" to a new #19 slot....type as: "-- 19. Self Radio". Once you do that then set drs_radio_station_index to = 19 and set it as default instead of 18. Once you do that you should be able to listen to your own default station in any cars in-game. When this mod was made that extra stupid "Blonded Los Santos" station wasn't in the game yet.

Just like the top comment, a new update added a new station called Los Santos Underground Radio, so you're gonna wanna edit the lua and change --19. Self Radio to Los Santos Underground Radio and add -- 20. Self Radio

Also don't forget to change the line from false to true for the mod to work

When you first enter a car, it won't change, so if you get out then back in, it should be fine and it should remain all good for the play session.

Hi guys, I just updated this script with the latest updates of GTA, so this is working now on 15 April 2020.
As always you have to enter end esc into a vehicle for the first time, than it will work for all the session.

INSTRUCTIONS: just use this "default-radio-station.lua" instead of the one you can download in the post.

Where the iFruit radio at? I recently installed another mod and my iFruit radio disappeared anyone help?
