@KallusRourke They handle really well, as long as you keep the models somewhat similar to the original ones (i.e. use "police2" handling on Chargers, "police" on CVPI's, "fbi2" on Tahoes and so on).

@Baender You just gotta get used to it, regular GTA cars have crazy brakes compared to real life. If you don't believe me just do some testing, take the braking force of the real counterpart of any car and calculate within what distance it should stop on full brakes and then try that in game. I can guarantee you most of them stop within 1m of the calculated distance...

@Raketa You didn't get what I meant. The values for acceleration and top speed come from the real counterpart of each vehicle in the game. Maybe, if you feel that the cars reach top speed too quick it's because you installed the scaled top speed version.

@Killatomate Outstanding work, I really appreciate the effort you put into this amazing modification. I was wondering though, why is the "police3" Ford Taurus not handling as it should? I see you wrote "physics problems" in the specs_cars file and it clearly doesn't feel right in game... It's a real shame as I play LSPDFR a lot and I'd love to have a good realistic handling for the Taurus.

@Raketa Killatomate is using the exact stats from the real counterpart of each car. If you're using a supercar no wonder it's going to ramp up to 180mph in 13-14 seconds.

@TheSpearman I had similar issues myself and it took me a while to realize it was OpenIV's fault, as it was creating a corrupted update.rpf (I suspect that's because it tries to create the file compliant with an older version of the game, thus causing crashes in newer versions). Anyway, I'm glad I could help!

@TheSpearman Are you using a mods folder? Is OpenIV.asi installed? Do you have any other mod installed in the update.rpf or is this the first one? If it is the first one make sure you remove any update.rpf from your mods folder and then manually copy the original one from *Grand Theft Auto V/update/ to Grand Theft Auto V/mods/update/ and after that install the mod using the automated .oiv installer.

@jman_jd10 If you want to make the brakes more effective I believe you have to increase the fBrakeForce value in the handling file. FYI bikes don't stop "a lot faster" in real life, this mod goes really really (really) close to what the real deal is.

Since the day the Glock was added to Escape from Tarkov I knew someone would have brought it to GTA, great job bro!

@unholy_cake Pretty sure the issue you're experiencing is due to OpenIV. Try to wipe your mods folder manually from Windows Explorer and then go to Grand Theft Auto V/update/ and manually copy the update.rpf and paste it in Grand Theft Auto V/mods/update/. Then you can install the mod using the .oiv package provided in the download and it should work just fine. Hope it helps
